Archivo: The NYC Retrospective Collection brings together designs representing the Puerto Rican designer’s creative development since his 2022 runway debut.
Puerto Rican designer Jaer Cabán has announced Archivo: The NYC Retrospective Collection, a presentation bringing together pieces from his creative journey in New York City.
According to a press release provided to Iconic Original Media, the retrospective will be presented at L’espace, located in the main atrium of Popular Center in Hato Rey’s Milla de Oro district in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The collection features a selection of designs from Cabán’s New York presentations, tracing his development from his runway debut in 2022 through his more recent work. Each piece represents a different stage in his career and offers a view of how his creative language and aesthetic identity have evolved.

Presented as a visual narrative of growth and experimentation, Archivo revisits significant moments from Cabán’s runway history. By bringing the selected designs together, the retrospective allows audiences to examine the progression of his work across several years rather than experiencing each collection separately.
The Puerto Rico presentation also connects Cabán’s work in New York with audiences in his home market. Through the retrospective, visitors will have an opportunity to encounter designs that have contributed to his developing fashion story from a new perspective.
Cabán’s presentation forms part of L’espace, a platform that showcases designers from Puerto Rico and Latin America. Its programming positions Popular Center as a space for fashion, creativity and the visibility of local and international talent.

With Archivo: The NYC Retrospective Collection, Cabán looks back at the work that has shaped his career to date while marking the continued evolution of his design practice.
