First Look: Timbiriche Revisits the Rise of a Latin Pop Phenomenon

Key art for the ViX Original series Timbiriche

Before the sold-out shows and devoted fans, Timbiriche was a group of young performers finding its way. ViX’s new original series returns to those early years, following the friendships and pressures that grew alongside the band’s fame.

Inspired by true events, Timbiriche traces the group’s journey from auditions and rehearsals to the spotlight. As its members become teenage idols, new arrivals and rivalries change their relationships, while the demands of the music industry test their ambitions.

Set against a recreation of the 1980s, the fictional series looks at the young people behind a defining name in Spanish-language pop. Beto Hinojosa directs; Pablo Cruz and Enrique Lavigne produce for EL ESTUDIO.

Timbiriche premieres exclusively on ViX October 9, with new episodes every Friday.
