Callum Turner and Briana Middleton lead Apple TV’s 10-episode adaptation of William Gibson’s 1984 novel, which premieres globally on Friday, January 22, 2027.
When William Gibson published Neuromancer in 1984, he gave popular culture a new vocabulary for hackers, networks and virtual space. More than four decades later, the novel that helped define cyberpunk is finally coming to the screen.
Apple TV will premiere the series globally on Friday, January 22, 2027, with two episodes, followed by one new episode every Friday through March 19, 2027, according to the streamer.

A Surprise Appearance at Comic-Con
The first teaser debuted on July 25, 2026, during Apple TV’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con, where Turner made a surprise virtual appearance to unveil it.
The campaign’s key art keeps its focus tight and unsettling: a metal neural port set into the skin behind a man’s ear, paired with two short commands, “Jack In” and “Turn On.”
The Hacker and the Razor Girl
Turner plays Case, whom Apple TV describes as a damaged, top-rung super-hacker. He is pulled into a world of digital espionage and serious crime alongside his partner Molly, a “razor-girl” assassin played by Middleton. Together, according to Apple TV, they attempt a heist against a corporate dynasty that is guarding secrets of its own.
Mark Strong, Joseph Lee, Peter Sarsgaard and Clémence Poésy round out the principal cast. The wider ensemble includes Max Irons, Dane DeHaan, Junia Rees, Jordan Kouamé, Emma Laird, Marc Menchaca, André De Shields and Isabella Pappas.
Who Is Behind the Series
Graham Roland and JD Dillard created the series for television. Roland serves as showrunner, and Dillard directs the first three episodes. Paramount Television Studios and Anonymous Content produce.
The executive producer roster brings Hollywood and hip-hop together. Alongside Roland and Dillard are David Levine, Garrett Kemble and Zack Hayden for Anonymous Content; Aubrey “Drake” Graham, Adel “Future” Nur and Jason Shrier for DreamCrew Entertainment; and Jennifer Haley. Gibson himself is also an executive producer.
The Novel That Shaped Cyberpunk
Neuromancer was Gibson’s debut novel. It won the Hugo Award, the Nebula Award and the Philip K. Dick Award, and it is widely regarded as one of the founding works of the cyberpunk genre. The book opened Gibson’s Sprawl trilogy, which continued with Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive.
That legacy sets a high bar for any adaptation, and the January premiere will be the first real test of whether the series can meet it.
